Battery and central controller integration, motorsport
Making two devices from two suppliers talk over the CAN bus of an electric race car.

- Role
- Embedded systems integration
The need
The battery and the central controller came from two different suppliers and had to understand each other on the CAN bus. Defects cost the most at that boundary: each side can blame the other, and nobody sees the whole.
The solution
- 01
Adaptation of the CAN 2.0B frames between the battery and the central controller.
- 02
Battery control to follow the controller's requests.
- 03
Tuning on the vehicle, with a bus analyser.
The outcome
Both systems talk to each other on the vehicle, with no grey area between the suppliers.
